Chelsea Handler has been in the entertainment industry for almost 20 years. She is a person of many talents and is a recognized comedian, actress, writer, television host, and producer. Her television shows have been broadcast on broadcast stations including E! Entertainment and online broadcasters Netflix. She is an avid human right and equality activist. Her celebrity activities have given her praise and notoriety all at the same time. At 21, she decided to start a career in stand-up comedy when she attended a traffic offenders class and her class laughed at her story of driving under the influence.

Career and Recognition

One of Chelsea's earliest career breakthroughs came from the reality show Girls Behaving Badly, aired from 2002 to 2005. After that, she appeared on various comedy and drama shows.  Also, in 2006 Chelsea began hosting her own show called The Chelsea-Handler Show which aired on E! Entertainment channel. After the end of her show, she got her own late-night comedy series called Chelsea Lately on the same channel. The late-night show proved to be a success and was viewed worldwide with over 1000 episodes. Lately, in 2016 she filmed a documentary series for Netflix called Chelsea Does. She also hosted a comedy talk show called Chelsea on the same Netflix. The talk show lasted for two seasons and she left it to pursue other endeavors.

As a comedian, Chelsea Handler was a part of comedy tours by Comedy Central. In 2010  she was the second woman in history, who was chosen to host the MTV Video-Music Awards. She has also gone on to host many prominent award shows and events. Handler has written columns for Cosmopolitan and Now magazines and has authored many books, five of them have made it to the New York Times bestsellers list. Her books have covered many topics like activism, sex, comedy and family relations.

Handler is a well-known activist and has been and awards from Human Rights Campaign, Just For Laughs comedy festival, Los Angeles Pride, and Bravo A-List. In 2012, the Time 100 list by Time magazine named Chelsea Handler as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Handler has an estimated net worth of 40 million US dollars.

Controversies

Chelsea Handler has had her fair share of scandal and controversy. Whatever some may think about her what is certain is this woman isn't reserved or ashamed about her self-image. Recently a sex tape Handler made years before she got famous surfaced to the public. In it, she can be seen fully naked looking directly at the camera with tits bouncing around. Apparently, it was made when she was still young and was a meant as a "joke'. it was done as a way of catching people's attention.

There are many images posted online by Handler herself and other people (like her ex-lover Hip-Hop artist 50 Cent) showing off her hot body, on some she's nude or topless and only her boobs can be seen. When explaining why she likes to be naked Handler said she doesn't take her body seriously and her boobs are "the best thing going for her". Handler has also been featured on the cover of Playboy magazine. Her feature on the magazine was for a non-nude pictorial.
